Meet Zara Mae Roodt

Meet Zara Mae Roodt, a Grade 9 at UCT Online High School and a Junior Olympic Rhythmic Gymnast.

From the age of 6 years old, Zara became passionate about the beautiful sport of gymnastics. Training for 10 years, she’s even more determined to achieve all her gymnastic goals. Recently, Zara represented South Africa in Egypt at the 16th African Championships — her first international competition! She placed 10th out of the entire African continent competing along side her.

With the long practice hours and competitions, Zara finds that attending UCT Online High School allows her to create the perfect schedule to achieve her academic and career goals.
