Growth is slow and consistent. It happens quietly in the lifestyle choices we make daily, no matter how small they may seem. Our habits, over time, build into something either positive or negative.

My journey at UCT Online High School has been more than just an academic experience. I am proud to be part of a space that takes its learners seriously. I have learned how to be disciplined and independent. The school truly fits my personality and lifestyle, especially as an introvert who prefers a quiet learning environment.

Ever since I joined UCT OHS, I have been succeeding not only academically, but in life. My attitude has changed, and sometimes during the holidays, I even find myself missing certain teachers. Attending the AMAs is more than just a lesson. It is where I get to connect with my teachers in a respectful and supportive environment. I feel seen, valued, and encouraged. Each teacher shows genuine care towards their students. I have never been bullied or mocked. UCT OHS is a safe and protective space, and I truly appreciate that. Let us normalize a school system where things are taken seriously and where students feel supported.

Along the way, I started writing in a small journal, praying to God, and expressing myself through words and imagery. I believed this would help me grow both spiritually and academically, especially in English and creative writing. After a few days, I realized I should share my work. I was later published in the Zululand Observer for an article about my birthday trip to the Zululand Cat Conservation project, where I aimed to spread awareness about conservation.

Since then, I have become a more intentional writer. My work has been shared within my community and has even appeared on Google.

Writing has been my safe place. It is where I find comfort on the days I need to release what I carry in my heart. When life feels overwhelming, I open my journal and let my thoughts flow freely.

I am an advocate. I want to be remembered not for how I look, but for how I make people feel. Through writing, I hope to inspire others to see life through a different lens. The lens of God, where faith and emotional intelligence go hand in hand.

I have chosen to live a peaceful lifestyle. I want to be someone people can come to, to pause, to reflect, and to feel understood. I want to become a voice for those who feel unheard, and I am beginning to do that through my writing.

I give thanks to God for making it possible for me last year to change schools and become part of UCT Online High School. It is truly one of the best schools I have ever known.

Through this journey, I have learned that it does not matter what others think of me, as long as I am living in alignment with His will. I am saved, and I know that I am worthy thank God for holding me together. He is the author of my story, and I cannot wait to share it with the world one day.

To all students reading this, build something meaningful and intentional with your life. You do not need to have everything figured out right now. Just believe, have faith, and keep going.

You are worthy. Be sincere in heart, and never stop growing physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Be the generation that breaks cycles and cultivates good character. We are more than just students; we are the future. Use your voice for things that matter, and remain faithful.

I am still learning.

Still growing.

Still becoming.
